  • I am not 100% positive on this but, I think you need a router for that. It might work though.
  • Why do you need two modems? You could easily set up a home network to share your existing DSL connection between many computers. In order to have a second DSL line running into your house, you'd need to PAY the internet service provider for that second line. What they'd do is run an additional phone line (with it's own number) into your home in order for you to have two separate DSL connections. You can't "split" the existing line and put a second modem on it, since the line would already be in use by the first modem. Even if you could, which you can't, it would be illegal since you'd effectively be "stealing" that second line from the service provider.
