Yes. You can take it to a designer and give them a crude drawing to work with. If I were you I would do the crude design and protect it long before anyone else laid eyes on it. You'll need text, graphics and photos to show the original design idea belongs to you. For fullest protection, however, you will need to register your design with the Copyright Office.
