  • Ohh, i get those too...!!! Right, so do you drink or eat acidic stuff? You know like lemon or orange juice? That's what causes it.. if you drink TOO much, like i used to have like five cups of Orange Juice a day, you get them bumps.. It has something to do with the acidic properties of the juice or something.... Just wait it out, and it'll go away..
  • Sounds like you irritated your taste buds. Sometimes this happens if you eat something strong...ie. sweet, spicy, salty, etc. Even "rubbing" your tongue against the roof of your mouth or teeth can cause these bumps. They are Lie bumps (transient lingual papillitis) and can be painful. Sometimes they are red and sometimes white. They're caused by irritation of the tongue's papillae, or taste buds. They are often called "lie bumps" because of a myth that telling a lie would cause one. It's a pretty common problem and there's not much that helps it other than staying away from the things (sweets) that bring it on. Some people get relief from sucking on ice chips and/or gargling with salt water or an antacid such as maalox sometimes helps. If it doesn't get better in a few days check with a medical professional...it could be something more serious. http://www.netwellness.org/question.cfm/36592.htm http://www.righthealth.com/Health/bumps_on_tongue/-m-1-od-definition_wiki_Tongue-s
