    We'll probably invent a few things that we'll soon find ourselves wondering how we did without. And we'll probably cycle through every possible fad in clothes, hair, and music again. I'd hesitate to make any grandiose guesses like the economy collapsing or unlimited energy being discovered, tho. Look what they came up with when they tried to predict the future in 1939:

    the M25 will be 10 lanes (woohoo) and somebody will have invented a replacement for the longlife crappy dull light bulb which is all that will be on sale this time next year. Oh, and we will have finally sold the green Fiesta that has been sitting around on our drive for an enternity.

    More turmoil, war maybe. Given the current events around the world I think we can expect another world war in the next 20 years. I also think that the 'The Big One'(earthquake) will hit California some time in the next 10-20 years and it will cause so much destruction that it will surpass any natural disaster that we have ever seen.
