I pre-cut cotton pads to fit top and bottom lids(cresent shapes) then soak them in strong tea. I then keep them in the fridge in a ziplock bag until I use them. When I am ready to use them, I lay a set over each eye, sit back and relax for 10 minutes. This soothes puffiness and diminishes dark circles. I follow up with a rinse of cool water, pat dry(never wipe around delicate eye area) and apply a light cream or gel moisturizer especially formulated for the eyes. You can also make an eye mask out of pureed cucumber and oatmeal. Put a few slices in a blender with a tablespoon of quick oats(this makes it stick and soothes irritated skin). Blend well, scoop into a little dish and refridgerate until cold. Apply thin layer to area around the eyes and relax for 10-15 minutes. Rinse away with cool water, pat dry and moisturize. Good Luck!

Try using potatoes, they worked for me. I tried the cucumber slices and it was horrible, the juice got right into my eyes even thogh I kept my eyes tightly shut! And it cause my eyes to be very itchy and turning red. Make sure when using the potatoes that you only use it on the area that is puffy. Either above the eyes or under. Don't put directly or lay on eyes or it will cause the juice to get in.

If you don't have a face mask I suggest just using soda/beer cans from the fridge. Hold over your eyes. If too cold let them sit on the counter for a while. Works well after a night of crying :'(

Laying fresh cucumber slices over your eyes for 10-15 minutes really does help. A cool mask over the eyes twice a day also helps, and I've also found that a very light moisturizer for sensitive skin, applied around the eyes at bedtime, helps.
