Also, some states have passed statutes that give peace officers from one county the power to arrest state wide. I don't know if Georgia has such a statute, but it probably does. Note: Many states also allow peace officers from other states to arrest in their state. This is particularly important in the smaller east coast states, where a chase can easily span several states.
