    yourself. a lot of what induces these feelings of worthlessness has to do with how we treat ourselves. At least in my case, having an unfailing ability to bring myself down with that constant inner voice stabbing away at any shred of self confidence certainly doesn't help things. assuring yourself you are unworthy, too incompetnt, and unable before you attempt anything will beat you down in a way no one else truly can. we are our own worst critics.

    Mindset, illness, conditioning and society! Reality is though that all are valuable and so 2 of the 3 are the responsiblity of others to make sure that a person as far as we are concerned never feels worthless!

    Many things for me though it was 2 major factors. One was my father continually telling me I was a worthless piece of crap that would never amount to anything and the other was constantly being told by almost every female I was interested in that I was not good enough for them.

    Lots of things, i think you cant generalize this but for me it happens when i make someone else feel bad, or when i harm others, when i fail in something, this list might not have an end but the point here is that you have to believe in yourself again and think that you are worth it no matter how many mistakes you make.

    I believe one of the worst things for anyone is to be told they are loved valued,and adored, then not treated like they have any value or worth.
    Incongruence, and being ignored are two horridly cruel tricks that are sometimes intentional, and others times a result of circumstance. Actions speak louder than words, for me I must be careful what I say, because I always want to back up what I say.
