Alaska is the only place where wolves are abundant, it's foolish to kill them. If the Alaskan population was to thin out it would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to bring it back up to a healthy state. Not to mention they are chased down by helicopter till they are too exhausted to run anymore, and then they are shot from close range either with a rifle or an automatic shotgun. Pregnant wolves and pups are not off-limits. =(
