It is probably stress keeping you from sleeping well. I used to be that way, and then I went to sleeping too much, about 10 to 12 hours. Now I am usually 7 or 8. When my Fibromyalgia acts up, I sometimes take a nap, but not everyday. Have you tried Tylenol PM?

Fibromyalgia affects joints and muscles, and it sometimes you feel like you have the flu even when you aren't really sick. When I have it bad, I can't get comfortable and I seem to hurt everywhere. I had pain medicine, but I stopped taking it a couple of months ago, because it was a narcotic, and I felt I needed to stop for awhile. I have been using aspirin since then, but it is not nearly as effective. I get fatigued fairly easily, too, but I force myself to keep going unless it is really bed. I don't want to live my whole life feeling sorry for myself and curling up in a chair or worse yet, in bed. Sometimes, though, I do push myself too hard, and then can hardly get around the next day from the pain. my husband hates when I do that, he wants me to always take it easy. But I would go crazy if I did nothing all day. Please don't feel sorry for me, I am doing just fine and dealing with it. I could be far worse off then this!

No sympathy, sweetie, I am fine. Fibro is something I will have for the rest of my life, but it is not always real bad. I have had it for about 20 years, but finally got a clinical diagnosis bout 5 or 6 years ago. When it is bad, I ache all over. But that is not every day. Most days it is fairly mild pain, and I do get tired fairly easily. I don't get nauseous. That is how I can tell when I do really have something else going on, like the last three days. I knew I actually did have the flu or some other virus. But I am feeling quite good right now, really. If it gets real bad, I will go see my doctor and get back on my pain meds, but right now I am enjoying a clear head. Like you, I am not big on medication.

ILMB: I take aspirin. For some reason Ibuprofen makes my blood pressure high. But I have to be careful with the aspirin too. I have a check up in a couple of weeks, and I might at least get a prescription to have on hand, just in case. I just like having a clear head. But then again, the pain affects my life too. Anyway - thank you for the hug, and right back to you! Hugs always help! I am lucky that Steve is so good to me. He never complains on my bad days when he comes home and I am still in my pajamas and have done nothing all day. He just asks me what I need and makes dinner and cleans up. He is the best.
