Bob Dylan was/is a genius.

Not me. You would have to provide some detail for me to even consider your opinion. If you don't like his music, fine, but that is completely different from saying that he is overrated.
-
me neither

Bob Dylan, while perhaps to some he may not be the most fabulous singer on the planet, was and is one of the best songwriters ever. He also stages an amazing live performance. I don't think him over-rated at all. If anything, I would say his talent has been under-rated based solely on his singing style.
-
I don't know why he's popular, but then I saw a public TV tribute to him where other artists were doing his music, and it was a lot better than I thought it was.
-
I grew up in Hibbing, MN and the man was idolized there. The dude doesn't even acknowledge he ever lived in that town. So from that aspect, I find him quite overrated.
-
You could say that.. about anyone
-
no by a country mile ...with all the great songs he has written, you couldn't say anything else and be thinking sanely
-
I find his singing annoying, but many of his songs remarkable. What a frustrating combination.
-
I would tend to agree with ya. I've never been a fan. But, it looks like we are in the minority!
-
Not me. I think he was/is probably underrated. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Dylan Bob Dylan - Subterranean Homesick Blues http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-xIulyVsG8
-
Nope. You was/is on drugs.
-
Yes, i think he was overrated an insane amount. His voice is very slurred, and in some songs he basically talks and just kinda stutters them out. I dont like him alot personally, but i guess if its your thing go for it.
-
I've loved some of his songs, but never liked his singing voice.
-
Somewhat.I wasn't a big fan of his music until I heard him say in an interview that people put too much importance on his songs.
