  • Yeah - I have - I thought it would be great but it ended up being kind of uncomfortable. We sat and talked and everything we talked about was about the old days - it was like we were forcing it. It was fine but some things had changed, we had grown up, grown apart - I have no bad feelings but it just seemed awkward to me.
  • It seems a bit odd at first...but if you really try to forget the past(however good it is) and forge a bond with the present person, its actually so nice.
  • My best friend at school moved away when we were 6. In July I saw her name appear on Friends Reunited so contacted her. We've emailed back and forth a couple of time and since her Dad still lives in the area, very close to where I live, we're going to meet up soon.
  • I have been in contact with an old friend, and at first it was great, then we realized we had grown so far apart, we were struggling to find common ground. It didn't help that she was on the other side of the country. We still e-mail little notes every once in a while, but we are not very much involved in each others lives, like we used to be. I still hold her dear to my heart, though.
  • Yes. My best friend from high-school e-mailed my brother. We got together, and we talked about some of the things we had done, getting drunk, skinny dipping in the school pool etc.She made the comment that"My parishoners would never believe I did that".I was floored I didn't know she was a minister. It went great after the initial shock!
  • I actually got in touch with a friend that I had from childhood but had grown apart from in high school. She and I now live at opposite ends of the country, but we were able to meet one weekend when she was in my part the country on business. It was lots of fun to get caught up and we still write to each other regularly.
