No more than any other religion (meaning: people are dangerous, not their religions - typically). Even though it hasn't been around as long, if you compared it to other religions, how many dangerous actions can you think of/have you heard of that were done in the name of Scientology as opposed to Christianity or Islam or another religion?

Depends on whether you mean the philosophy and accompanying methodology or whether you mean the Church of Scientology. Having been a member of the Church of Scientology, I will say that the dangers I'd seen there (I'm an ex member now) were that they take advantage of their followers. They apply a lot of pressure to people to keep coming up with more and more of their money and time. Staff members are treated like indentured servants- and that's on a good day. ______________________________________________________ I don't consider the philosophy to be dangerous- at least no more than any other philosophy out there. I know that any philosophy can be used beneficially or malignantly.
