I tried the lemon juice thing for my freckles, because they became extremly dark from the tanning bed... I've been applying it twice a day for three days now and there almost gone.. At night I leave the lemon juice on my face and wash it off in the morning,, My face is silky smooth .. so no worry on drying it out.... It also is helping clear away the black heads that were on my nose and shrinking my pores on my face.. I tried using facial fade creams to get rid of my freckles before, all they really did was make me look ghost white.. with the lemon juice its just clearing the freckles , but leaving the tan on my face.. I love it ! I didn't think it would actually work, but it has. I have been using lemon juice from a bottle called REAL LEMON.. I haven't tried actually lemon slices, but I think I'll give them a try.. Good luck to anyone who tries the lemon juice, because I've had great success with it so far and I hope so does everyone else.. I hate my freckles and I'm tired of trying to cover them up and I know other people feel the same way. GOOD LUCK!

Lemon Juice from the bottle is a great way to get rid of discoloration (freckles, etc) I have used it for blackheads and freckles and it's worked great. I had to use it before my pictures in school because my freckles were so gross. They looked like big blackheads! Lemon juice is awesome. It’s also great to use in your hair to lighten natural blond. Kind of like highlights.

I'M 40 yrs and I have notice some what of dark spots but however I'M having more problems with white spots, the best way to describe the spots is imagine a scar after it's turn white & it want tan or blend no matter what you try or do. I have tried fading creams and they don't work, prescription creams at that, I have freckles but they have never bother me. I use sunscreen daily no matter what time of day it is, rain snow winter summer or fall, I believe in sunscreen. I haven't worried with tanning since my early 20's and not much of a tanner then, I have light olive complexion anyway. As I said the freckles don't bother me it's these white spots and they have appeared on my checks and upper checks around temple and check area if that makes sense, I thought it was age spots but I'M told there not, and it really has affected the way I see myself, I ask my husband often does it seem like I'M looking older daily. It's a problem for me I don't wear makeup often and when I do, I wear bare minerals and nothing else. It's weird I have always treated my skin with anti wrinkling creams and I have not a wrinkle one, but I feel I look older with these white patches then anything.. Does anyone have any advice.
    Thanks & God Bless You!

I had very bad combination skin (my forhead, part of my cheeks, and chin are extremely oily, but my nose and sides of my face are extremely dry). I started getting SEVERE painful breakouts when I was 23 and I'm now 31. I have multiple scars from acne. I've started using lemon juice. Within the first week, my acne started clearing up. I'm at two and a half weeks, its starting to lighten the red scars, my acne greatly reduced to next to nothing. Only problem I see is the areas I have that are already dry, got EXTREMELY dry, but a good moisturizer helped...

I've heard the same thing and since lemons are relatively cheap, why don't you try it for yourself and let us know.

Cut a thin slice out of lemon and attach it to affected area (with tape or whatever) for at least 20 mins at a time & discard when finished. Apply another slice the next day. Store the unused/unsliced portion of lemon in an air-tight sandwich bag until another slice is needed.

*sigh* I've read about many of these home remedies but ya gotta wonder. If they were truly effective why would people always be looking for a 'miracle cure' if it had already been discovered? Maybe some of these cures do work on some sooner than others but we simply no longer have the patience/time to wait for the cures of the natural world (many times those so-called cures are just a natural result of the body's natural healing process which takes longer than most of us care to wait for and would happen anyway w/o the extra effort/expense of creams ETC.

I have heard that rubbing olive oil on sunspots (brown areas) helps to clear them up or at least fade them. I don't know if it would work with acne/pimple type problems.
