  • For general news, National Public Radio and npr.org. For science, sciencenow.science.org and sciam.com.
  • Sadly I do not believe the media is any longer independant. In oppressed countries truth from the public is witheld by the government. In the free west the news is selective by popular demand of the people. Some issues do not sell papers etc! It is also reported with interpretation, the editor has to satisfy the owner of the company and so the news is often at best questionable. It is censored by government. All in all it has become unreliable and unbelieveable!
  • NPR and foriegn press. I don't trust any U.S. news sources. I have read magazines and newspapers from several countries reporting on the same instances. They all agreed with each other, but the U.S. press had a totally different story. I mean, RADICALLY different. This has been the case for decades as I have had friends and family bring home news from other countries. It is pitiful to see how much crap we are fed, and end up believing, for want of other sources.
  • I first thought NPR but then I realized that they are really biased, even though I like Terri, Ira and whatsisname. I think the answer for part A is UK independent papers like Guardian and Independent, and strangely, the Washington Post. Least trustworthy is anything affiliated in any way with Rupert Murdock (FOX) or any of his employees. CNN has also lost all credibility, becoming a morass of garbage spewing morons masquerading as journalists. At least FOX has stopped pretending.
  • Most reliable - http://www.bbc.co.uk/ and http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/global/ Least reliable - tabloid newspapers.
  • I obtain most of my information from the books I have, but I always cite university sites, serious web pages, orgs and some media. I make sure I always respect the source and include their links.
  • humans are not infallible, but for accuracy I will say the Associated Press. Least trustworthy (excluding the Enquirer type mags) would be The New York Post.
  • Reliable→ http://foxnews.com/ http://newsmax.com/ http://drudgereport.com/ Non reliable→ http://cnn.com/ http://abcnews.com/ http://msnbc.com/
  • I think the BBC is most reliable. Even though I am American, I get most of my worldly news from them. I think least reliable would be Fox News. Almost all of their anchors are super conservative, with a little liberal thrown in for fun. Poor little Alan Colmes.
  • I'm a student of history so I know better than to trust any mainstream media in our current situation, too much involved and too many chances of corruption, besides none of them are reporting the real prob, the bank should be getting scrupilated(however you spell it)
  • Most reliable: Reuters http://www.reuters.com/ BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/ NPR http://www.npr.org/ PBS http://www.pbs.org/newshour/ Voice of America http://www.voanews.com/english/index.cfm Wikinews http://en.wikinews.org/wiki/Main_Page Least reliable: Any source affiliated with Rupert Murdoch. I was really unhappy when he bought the Wall St Journal a couple of years ago.
  • CNN(Communist News Network)is very biased and pro-Arabs. I don't trust it. The Foxnews has been taking the first place in the National news polls, and not in vain. The Foxnews is the most reliable network I can trust.
