If someone tells me they are going to try cocaine, how can I stop them or convince them not to?

It'll alter their brain chemistry and in the long term will deteriorate the synapses which is scary enough. Also addiction is a true fear due to the high cost of obtaining the powder as well as diminishing return on investment which means more money gets wasted. Let us not forget the nasal problems one fases since it is a caustic substance. One also has the risk of a heart attack and death of over dose.

Let them know that not only will it destroy your brain and synapses, you can also contract HIV through the mucus membranes in your upper nostril if you share a straw or anything like that with someone who is infected. Also, tell them that cocaine is not a drug you want to mess around with. You can get hooked right off the bat. It's not like weed or ecstasy or shrooms. Cocaine is a drug that gets you high for ten minutes, and you feel so shitty afterwards that all you can do to make it better is take some more cocaine.
