Why do robbery victims wait until the robber(s) leave before they call the police?

    The answer to this question is very obvious. safety. opportunity. all play a major part in not calling the police, while the robbers are present. its hard to call the police, with a gun aimed at your head.

    Wow!! Did you honestly ask that. I was actually robbed at knifepoint and I didnt, or better yet couldnt even call the police afterward. Anxiety...fear...
    Maybe I should have just asked one of them to dial the police for me and hand me the phone!!!! geesh!
