  • it is a feature called traction control. the computer in the car is getting a signal from the speed sensors that one tire or two are spinning faster than the other tires. front ones because it is front wheel drive. so it sends a signal to the pcm to engage the traction control. it is just cutting out cylinders to compensate for the loss of traction. if you don't like that feature there should be a button in the car to disengage the trac control *source* my brilliant husband
