The grass on a lawn or any other kind of grass for that matter will always grow back in spite the continous mowing. It is simply because mowing is just cutting off or triming the upper part of the blade of grass. However, if you really want to stop the grass from growing back, pulling out it's roots is the most simple and cheapest way to do it.
