They utilize these to use the least amount of chemicals to control a problem for long term results. The use of thorough inspections, placement of monitoring devices, various types of baits, use of IGRs or Insect Growth Regulators, elimination of contributing conditions, and direct treatment of insect nests and harborages with non residual insecticeds. Today this is the preferred technique of state pesticide regulating agencies, as well as many pest control operators.
