If you see a robbery and see the suspect's face, how accurately do you think you can describe the robber's face when called upon to do so?

I am terrible at that! I tried it twice and was so far wrong its not funny!

If it was a glance not good, probably fair description.

If asked within an hour I could but after that ...I would probably wonder if I remember it all correctly.

If I got a very good look at the thief, then I could probably describe him/her within 1 or 2 hours. But beyond that would be sketchy!

Good question as usual, I'm very good at faces but if you ask me what the person was wearing I'm a dud, unless he was dressed like Ronald McDonald :)

If all I saw was a person passing me, there is a very low probability that I would remember enough for an accurate description, however, if I saw the robbery and knew it was a robbery, I would have switched myself to a more allert state and would be in a "memorize" state ... I am reasonably certain I could give a detailed description. __________ I used to be a RECONN guy for an Artillery unit, I think that makes me a 'trained observer' ...
