  • I use a program on Windows XP called 'Feedreader' which is Alpha 2.5 Build 610. I've read it's not maintained, but then I have also read it IS maintained. It's free and seems to work ok for me. Do a search on Google for it.
  • www.bloglines.com provides a free web page based blog reader that works for you from any computer. There is nothing to install, just sign up a username and tell it what blogs you want to view. It also lets you see what others are reading (with their permission) and you can search for info in any blog they have subscribers to (1,000s).

  • I use abilon ( www.activefresh.com/abilon.php). seems to be the most forgiving for 'standards' of the various rss versions.

  • The free e-mail software Mozilla Thunderbird is an RSS reader as well. It is very easy to configure the E-mail, News & Blogs.
  • I use Internet Explorer 7. If you use Internet Explorer 7, it is very simple to view RSS feeds in your browser and to subscribe to RSS feeds. If you click on the link to the feed, it will be displayed in your Browser. After this, you just need to click on the suscribe feed link and you can suscribe the feed (you have just to give it a location in the feeds tree structure). After this, if you want to display the feed, you click on the "Favorites" star at the top left of your browser, then on the symbol for RSS Feeds and you get the list of your suscribed feeds in a tree structure.
