For me, Peavy has been a lock for the NL for a while... only other candidate would be Brandon Webb, but Peavy's stuff has just been nasty all year. If the Padres didn't make the postseason, it's because their batters look like they are batting with toothpicks a lot of the time, not down to Peavy.

The AL is a lot tighter... it could go to a vastly improved Josh Beckett, and that would be fair. It could go to John Lackey, that would also be reasonable. It could well go to Wang because playing for the Yankees always seem to bring in a few extra votes, and that wouldn't be entirely unfair either. But for me, it should be CC Sabathia who wins it; he has led from the front in the Indians resurgence, and been a huge part of that club building the confidence to become genuine WS contenders. He's thrown a LOT of innings, and most of them have been filthy and unhittable. So for me, it's CC.

I know Peavy won it,and he should have won it in 2004 as well.
