  • "The Times is often accused of liberal bias. In summer 2004, the newspaper's then public editor (ombudsman), Daniel Okrent, wrote a piece on the Times' liberal bias.[33] He concluded that the Times did have a liberal bias in coverage of certain social issues, gay marriage being the example he used. He claimed that this bias reflected the paper's cosmopolitanism, which arose naturally from its roots as a hometown paper of New York City." • LMFAO Naw, they're just one of the three most liberal publications on the planet, that's all. They are the reason why democrats control New York.
  • Pretty much any good publication is going to be more on the liberal side. If any of you conservatives want to argue with me about how Fox News is the almighty truth of God, you can go fuck yourselves. I hardly ever see a biased article in the New York Times, and when it IS biased, it's under the "Opinions" column. But the moment I turn Fox News on, it's never-ending proselytizing about the "Godless Liberal Agenda" with Ann Coulter's face burning itself into my retinas.
  • It has the reputation of being Liberal, but, of course, that is not to say it is deserved. I have a theory about history and journalism. Neither is particularly Right or Left. Both elements are present, but conspicuous (and not so conspicuous) elements are missing. It is rather like Swiss cheese. This is why on any given day a publication like the New York Times can be described as Leftist or Liberal. However, this is more due to selective vision than truth. In most cases, one can simply read the next story on the page and arrive at a conflicting opinion. Ultimately, the reputation is made by pundits selecting a particular story with a slant and holding it up saying, "See, this proves my point." What they don't do is show the stories that support their positions—or at least only reluctantly and apologetically.
