One thing I had that I absolutely LOVED was a signing wall.
One wall, painted white (the rest of the room was turquoise) with a box full of Sharpies attached to it.
Every one of my friends who came over got to add their signature/poem/artwork/whatever to the wall.
After a while, it looked AWESOME.
