You actually answered your own question. receiving a citation, for the seat belt law, is bad enough. but, to further avoid either going to traffic court and/or paying the citation, will definetely reflect on you insurance rate. and, having your drivers license suspended, because of the non-payment of the seat belt violation, is also going to cost you in the rate you will pay. a violation of the seat belt law, is considered a moving violation, since not wearing it can contribute to an auto accident. believe me, your insurance company is already aware of your suspended drivers license. each year, insurance companies pay a fee to check their customer's driving record. its open to the public. one day, in your mailbox, the answer to your question, will be given by your insurance company.........don't be surprised!
