  • Lets try and break things down. 6 Billion people in the world. ~3 Billion are below poverty line, or can't afford one. Which leaves 3 Billion. About 2 Billion of which are too young to own a mobile phone, never come across one, or can't use one. That leaves about 1 Billion people. About 30% don't need to use one, as they already have access to someone else's, or just use land lines. Which means about 70 Million people own a mobile phone (at least one). Obviously by no means anything to go by.
  • This is not the exact answer to the question, but I think it could give us an idea: "Now we have context. 800 million cars, 850 million personal computers, 1.3 B fixed landline phones, 1.4 billion credit cards, 1.5 billion TV sets. How many mobile phones in use today? In use today, yes, 2.7 billion (technically 2.7 billion in January, not December). They sold 950 million phones last year and the total worldwide mobile subscriber base grew from 2.1 billion to 2.7 billion. Three times as many mobile phones as automobiles or personal computers. About twice as many mobile phone owners as those of fixed landline phones or credit cards. And almost twice as many mobile phones in use as TV sets." • only 7
  • There are 100 people in the world village, 10 are below poverty and cant afford one,7 are way too young to have one. Then 10 don't need one or never came across of ever needing one. So about 86 people in the world village own a cell phone. 85.7% of the people have phones. Lets try and break things down. 6 Billion people in the world. ~3 Billion are below poverty line, or can't afford one. Which leaves 3 Billion. About 2 Billion of which are too young to own a mobile phone, never come across one, or can't use one. ♥ That leaves about 1 Billion people. About 30% don't need to use one, as they already have access to someone else's, or just use land lines. Which means about 70 Million people own a mobile phone (at least one). Obviously by no means anything to go by. Then about 156,000,000 people use a cell phone 20percent of that are teenagers. then again 2.5 million use a cell phone.♥
