Help answer this question below.

Is it possible for someone to leave a text message on my cell phone using my number? In other words, I keep getting a text from myself that says talk to me. Why is that happening?

    Yes. If they're using Skype to text you they could enter your number as the number the text is being sent from. They could enter any number really, which could cause problems.

    As weird as it sounds, yes, you can text yourself using the your own phone. I'm not an expert, another answer would be that you are trying to text someone else, but have put your own number down by mistake. If this isn't the case, then is it possible that someone has access to you're phone? Another thought is that someone has a phone with a similar number. It sounds very unusual that someone can sms you using you're mobile. I have no other answer.

    Somebody may have cloned your SIM card, though in this particular case, it would most likely be someone you know having a bit of a laugh with you.

    The overwhelming majority of phone clonings are, however, for more nefarious purposes (such as criminal enterprises).
