    As far as Democrats go, I think those are the two best I would put to the field in that exact order.

    Speaking from the perspective that I would not vote for either, I would say Obama is at least a fresh face and well spoken, etc., even though he has little experience. Edwards is just a slimey trial lawyer to anyone who knows his past and would probably hurt the ticket more than help it, plus he is a re-tread from the past which usually does not bode well in elections.
