Help answer this question below.
The exorcist, for its time its amazingly scary and the only movie that ever really frightened me.
If you consider it horror, I really liked "The Devil's Rejects".
Too many! I'll go with the Halloween series, and Sleepy Hollow if that counts as horror.
the prophecy although it's not exactly horror
THE EXORCIST!!!
The Exorcist.
The Stand, because it can really happen.
An Incovenient Truth
I likes these two:
Alien -- Sigourney Weaver
The Shining -- Jack Nicholson
the omen... the Saw series... i've never seen the exorcist
The Exorcist..by far.
I like The Ring (original & remake) and I think SAW is excellent.
Best of all time...??
Dunno.
the hills have eyes 2, the rock , the poltergeist and the happening and the exorcist
I haven't seen any good horror flicks lately...They all pretty much sucked...But the best of the worst, I guess would be that one with John Cusack....1408 I think it was called..Now that I think about it, it wasn't half bad. Its more of a suspense/thriller, than a horror movie.
The Omen
The Cube movies. Loved them all! They kept going in and out of the same set, yet was always different.
In terms of creep-out factor, the original Amityville horror.
With the exception of the house talking to the priest, everything that happened in that movie is 100% possible. Little kids talk to "special friends" all the time, people see crazy stuff outside their window that isn't there and is actually a trick of the light, people can go crazy and murder their families....all of these things can happen, and the fact that you can't really control it, or prevent it from happening to yourself is what makes it creepy.
Nightmare on Elm Street
I really like House on Haunted Hill
So difficult to choose one but it's be director George Romero's 1968 " Night of the Living Dead."
There was a movie back in the late 80's about quantum theory and evil that freaked me out. I think the film was "Army of Darkenss". Alice Cooper had a small role in it.
The Evil Dead scared the crap out of me.
An odd one that I really liked was "In The Mouth Of Madness" with Sam Neill. Cool story line. I enjoyed it very much!
In recent years, I love "The Ring" and the first two SAW's. As far as classic horror, I would go with The Exorcist or The Evil Dead.
Alien
The Shining- it still scares me.
The dawn of the dead remade, it was kinda the end of times movie and everyone was just doing what they could to survive the horror and their was no salvation.
the exorcist
All of the Saw movies
The Shining
i pretty much refuse to watch horror movies because im so easily scared. after i watched the ring, i couldnt watch tv alone in the dark for atleast a year. but the one i actually liked was the one with nicole kidman and she has 2 kids that are allergic to sunlight so they live in this big dark mansion .. i forget what its called, but it was good
I can't remember the name of it, but it was an MTV endorsed film. It had a wonderful plot about a 's sister who was burned in a car and everyone thought she died, but hte sister found out hte truth. I also liked Skeleton Key, again it was a good plot
I wouldn't call it the "best" I've ever seen, but The Cell has to be the most disturbing one. If I had to name a favorite, I'd have to say one of the Hellraiser series.
If by best you mean which one scared me witless, it has to be "The Exorcist". It totally freaked me out - I slept with the lights on for a year.
The Exorcist.
Hostel. It wasn't typical horror fare. It relied on sheer pain, rather than when is the bad guy gonna getcha type of horror. Dang, some of that stuff was utterly miserable. +5
Nightmare on elm street actually gave me a few nightmares, so that has to go down as one of the best for me at least.
John Carpenter's "THE THING".
I've always liked that 50's classic "House on Haunted Hill"!
;-)
the shining hands down there is no need to explain that answer
