The only job I've done that required me to be heartless was that of a Sniper on a police SWAT team. You wait for the call to take the shot and you take it. As a regular member of the team, or as a combat Marine if you were in a firefight you had to be heartless, but this wasn't the majority of what the job entailed. The Sniper's whole job doesn't consider anything but the shot.

a judge just because u feel bad for sombody, doesnt mean that they are not guilty, and sometimes u have to send them to the electric chair, even if u like them :// well i guess u dont "have" to, but to be a good and honest judge.

i think a debt collector or repo person, you would have to listen to heartbreking stories and still take away their last meal or possession.
