When you answer a question @ AB, generally, are you answering to honestly help the person.. or are you answering because you are bored at the moment & there's nothing better to do? If neither then why?

It varies. If the question is about a matter of fact then I answer to help them. For example somebody just asked what star she could see in a particular part of the sky in Louisiana and I have a piece of software that let me find out and tell her, so that's what I did. If the question is light-hearted then I will answer it to entertain myself as much as anything else.

I log on when it's too late to nap or drink coffee to stay awake. Dialoguing with people and getting to put facts, ideas, knowledge and answers out there wakes me up again.

I answer because I usually like to answer questions, particularly some of them. I hope my answer can help the asker, but it could eventually help other people too. There are a lot of other things that I could do to spent my free time, but it is one among the most interesting for me, at the moment.

I love to help people and I love to answer questions. I rarely get bored. Cant' remember the last time I was bored. I like to get off the main page and go explore other categories about things I may or may not know about. I like it when AB makes me think and wonder or when I learn something, too. It's a place for sharing in all ways:-)

I hope that my answers help the people they are given to. I'm sure some people ask questions just for the hell of it, but the majority are looking for answers that will help them. Of course it's also good to have fun with some of the sillier questions too.

I am generally hoping to help. Sometimes I'm hoping to help them be more open minded. But sometimes I see a cute question & answer it just to chat.

I generally answer questions to try to help others. I try to avoid questions that I have no knowledge or understanding of because I don't think that I have much to offer on those topics.

I usually answer silly questions outside the bag so it's just to have a laugh . If I go to the other more serious categories then I will do it to help the person. I will not answer relationship questions as I do not feel qualified to help in most cases.
