Yes, if people stop committing badgicide, the number one destroyer of points and protons.
-
No, as I have stated many a time, I don't think that we humans are able to affect the global climate.
-
No we can't control the global climate and "stop climate change. Think about that... stop climate from changing... no more than we can start and stop rain, though many have tried. If you read the UN reports on global warming and the reports on the Kyoto Protocol you will find that although these organizations feel that man is the main contributor of greenhouse gases (we are not), that none of the currently proposed solutions will have a measurable affect on global climate, temperature, weather, nor sea levels. The goal of the "stop global warming" crowd is more about evening the global economic playing field to slow the developing nations economies while also redistributing wealth from the productive nations (the ones that use all the energy and produce greenhouse gases) to the non-productive nations (that are non-productive because they don't generate nor use energy).

No, because GW is a hoax. My 2 cents.

I don't think it's possible for us to stop the current ice age from finally ending, nor do I think we should if we could.
-
how the hell are we going to make the SUN, a million mile diameter ball of FUSION do what we tell it?
-
even if it existed we couldn't. BUT STOP POLLUTING! just don't tax us!
-
Where there is a will there is a way.
-
no, it has nothing to do with people and everything to do with climate.
-
Of course not. The planet has warmed up and cooled down repeatedly over millenia. That's why where there is desert there once was ocean and where there is rain rain forest there were glaciers. The concept of global wareming caused by man is a myth. http://ourcivilisation.com/aginatur/moregw.htm
-
Of course. By global cooling. It's gonna take a pretty big air conditioner or sunshade. A major volcanic eruption would give a pretty thick two-year shade.
-
Due to the Fact that it is a natural cycle, No. That would be like stopping a woman from having her cycles. Hint the name "Mother Earth". :)
-
Yes kill the human race
-
Our little blue speck in space has been going back and forth between cool ice ages and warm tropical ages for a long time ... we are currently speeding up the warming cycle, but YES, another cooling ice age will eventually begin one way or another.
-
In the short term, no. The economic and lifestyle changes required to 'stop' anthropogenic climate change (ACC) are so great that they are essentially impractical. However, just because ACC can't be stopped does NOT mean that we shouldn't try to restructure our lives and economies to minimize it as best as we can. http://www.realclimate.org/index.php/archives/2006/07/runaway-tipping-points-of-no-return/

No only limit it's effects, of course those limits should have been started 40+ years ago, of course when you have a vested interest in insanity and can afford to keep it as an un-proven controversy until it reaches up and bites you in the ass well you get the idea ... ~Nemo~
