You're reading Before you had a child, did you wonder if you could be as good a parent to a boy as you were to your daughter (I did), or could love #2 as much as #1 (a friend mentioned that), or anything like that?

Our daughter was 4 when we had our son, old enough to explain to her that babies take a lot of time. Plus, she's very easygoing and happy, so there was a minimum of "you spend too much time with him."
