  • more tax revenue...
  • For one thing it would make many normal people who should clearly not be classed as criminals, not criminals! Secondly the tax man would make a huge amount of money, it is cheaper to produce Marijuana than it is to produce tobacco so think of the taxes they could charge. Thirdly it would remove about 70% of drug dealers as thet could not buy the quantities of harder drugs required in order to make a profit! I can not see any bad points.

  • Governments would have another commodity that they could tax, thus creating money for the government and the state. Prison populations would plummet, and we would be able to invest tax dollars in keeping actual, violent criminals in jail. We would be able to more thoroughly study the health effects/benefits using clinical trials and case studies. The money spent on the "War on Marijuana" could be instead invested in education and rehabilitation programs. Marijuana users and growers would have actual legal recourse in the event of theft of crops.
  • People would be too smacked to wanna go to war.
  • Invent a filter for it?
  • The choppers would stop flying around my house.
  • people could smoke freely!
  • Law enforcement would be deprived of yet another black market to waste time fiddling with.
