  • Channeling your anger into action is best: http://www.mindtools.com/pages/article/newTCS_97.htm
  • I don't think a valid study can really be conducted to prove that either way. I mean, what if they follow somebody for 40 years, then they get stung by a bee and die? I guess venting/holding it in can have a result in something else that affects the life span of somebody. For example, Johnny Jone-Stone vents his anger whenever he feels like it. After numerous outbursts at work, he is fired. This makes him more angry, and then during his rampage he trips over a pile of boxes and hits his head on the corner of a desk, resulting in his death.
  • i would think venting it in some way is best. That was your not letting it build to a point where you can't handle it anymore. I like getting it out so i am not mad for weeks.
  • They say venting is better then holding it in!!!!!!! I have no idea how they made this decision!!!!!!1
  • I prefer to address the situation when I am angry. For me, I think it is healthier. No angry outbursts. I do not want to be like my mother was, unpredictable with her anger.
  • Venting will help you live longer, in my opinion. Think about the effects that the brain has on physiology. If we harbor negative thoughts in our conscious or unconscious minds, we are putting stress on our nervous systems, which can lead to organ failure and many other problems..
  • venting or never allowing it in will help you live longer...Don't sweat the small stuff...
  • Venting is the was to go. It's best not to hold all your anger until it explodes a la the Big Bang. A sure fire way to do this (though not necessarily advised) is to break stuff. There's a lot of satisfaction in the sound of it...but there is probably a better, less destructive way than that.
  • I vent my anger daily & I'll never have an ulcer
  • You should always try to vent your anger. Have you noticed that when you hold it in, your heart feels heavy and you can't breathe that well?
