My MP3 player will freeze up after selecting a song. What could be wrong?

Make sure your player will handle the format the song is stored in. Some mp3 players have limited format capabilities. Check to see if the file will play on your computer first. Also when first selecting a file or a directory within the mp3 player frequently the hard drive in the mp3 player takes awhile to get itself together to play the first song of the first directory. The momentary "freeze" up may go away.
