It's called greed. the motto of a selfish person is "whats mine is mine and whats yours is mine". a classic example of a selfish person, is road rage. a selfish person wants the whole road to themselves and is not willing to share. these are the people that cut-you-off on lane changes and will not let you enter a traffic lane, when the road narrows to one lane.
Maybe a selfish person was deprived, from the basics of life, as a child. selfish people live alone, within themselves. on the face of it, a selfish person is hard to detect. only the true personality, of a selfish person, presents itself, when its time to share anything with anybody. with a selfish person, it's always ME FIRST!
