What occurs in ice hockey when a player shoots the puck across both the red line and the opposing team's goal line without the puck going into the net

    icing will be called by the refs and the puck will be take back down to the face off circles from where it came from

    an icing occurs as long as an opponent of the player who shot the puch touches the puck first.

    If the puck crosses the goal line it is a goal and is in the net.Unless your speaking of the goal crease where the goalie stands,then it would not be a goal
