  • English is too difficult for the average Englishman. In particular, having to choose between "a" and "an" depending on what follows is too much for the poor fellow. So an upper class Englishman always inserts a vowel-type um-ah-er sound, and always uses "an", which the lower class Englishman inserts inserts a swear word which starts with a consonant, so he can us "a", and must not be too long. Pass me an aaah fork, please. Gimme a bloody fork.
