I would have thought so, only because the First Reich was the Holy Roman Empire, the Second Reich was the German Empire between 1871 & 1918 and finally the Third Reich, obviously, being Nazi Germany. So if the Reichs' roots are in Christianity then surely so are their leaders.

IMO Hitler was content to use and infiltrate Christian churches to get his ideological foot in the door, then he intended to destroy them once they realised what he was really up to. Think about it: Putting Hitler's pic on the altar of a church (as was demanded) violates the 10 commandments. Can the person who demands this (Hitler) be considered a Christian, when he has effectively raised his status to a god? I went looking round the web to see what other people had to say and found this site: "In my wanderings through the Web, I have sometimes come across statements from Christians saying that Adolf Hitler was an atheist, and more often, statements from atheists saying that Hitler was a devout Christian. He seems to be a guy that nobody wants on their team, which I guess is fair enough, given the part that he played in humanity's bloodiest endeavour. However since some of the "Hitler was a Christian" comments have been occasionally directed at me, I thought it would be wise to investigate the matter for myself and see just what I could come up with. My conclusion is that Hitler, although he was brought up and confirmed as a Catholic, had abandoned Christianity by the time he was in control of Germany. Importantly though, he was not an atheist either." http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/mischedj/ca_hitler.html This is a well researched site, which seems to agree with what I have said. Too many Christians died at the hands of the Nazis to ever say that Hitler believed himself to be Christian.

"Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord." "My feelings as a Christian points me to my Lord and Savior as a fighter. It points me to the man who once in loneliness, surrounded by a few followers, recognized these Jews for what they were and summoned men to fight against them and who, God's truth! was greatest not as a sufferer but as a fighter. In boundless love as a Christian and as a man I read through the passage which tells us how the Lord at last rose in His might and seized the scourge to drive out of the Temple the brood of vipers and adders. How terrific was His fight for the world against the Jewish poison. To-day, after two thousand years, with deepest emotion I recognize more profoundly than ever before the fact that it was for this that He had to shed His blood upon the Cross. As a Christian I have no duty to allow myself to be cheated, but I have the duty to be a fighter for truth and justice... And if there is anything which could demonstrate that we are acting rightly it is the distress that daily grows. For as a Christian I have also a duty to my own people." "Just as the Jew could once incite the mob of Jerusalem against Christ, so today he must succeed in inciting folk who have been duped into madness to attack those who, God's truth! seek to deal with this people in utter honesty and sincerity." "In the Bible we find the text, 'That which is neither hot nor cold will I spew out of my mouth.' This utterance of the great Nazarene has kept its profound validity until the present day. " "We are a people of different faiths, but we are one. Which faith conquers the other is not the question; rather, the question is whether Christianity stands or falls.... We tolerate no one in our ranks who attacks the ideas of Christianity... in fact our movement is Christian. We are filled with a desire for Catholics and Protestants to discover one another in the deep distress of our own people. " Really, I can just go on posting his own quotes. Yes, Hitler was indeed a very Christan man.

He CALLED himself one. But then again - Consider the source....
-
I believe he did, but then so did the crusaders and inquisitors.
-
He professed to be, yes. But he sure did not act like one, especially towards the Jewish people. I hope that this is helpful. -In the service of the Master. Thank you and God bless you!

A christian can not be ordained by church, government or state a christian can only be through what he/she believes and how he/she shows those beliefs. If I say I am a car does nothing to make me a car, I have to become that car, and do car things. Romans tells us there is no Greek or Jew, in God's eyes. Romans tells us we all put Christ on the cross, and that is a theme carried through the bible. Hitler did neither act like a christian or do christian things. Therefore although it is in God's hands Himself I safely go through life with the belief that Hitler was a lost man who needed God but never made the connection.

Of course he did and, not surprisingly enough, he was a True/TRUE Christian...he he...
-
Adolf was brought up in the Roman Catholic faith so he must have been a Christian ,whether he practised his faith is another matter.
-
Who cares? He was a monster who had no right to live...
-
No, he considered himself a Politician. He was interested in the Occult. Even though he gave Christianity lip service, he denied its most important tenets.
-
Like many if not most politicians, he considered the religion of his people a social force to be controlled and exploited, so some of his public pronouncements showed Christian piety. However, he hated all Jews, especially Jesus. And his third-in-command, Himmler, had the assignment of creating a new pagan Aryan religion in which Adolf was lord, god, and savior.

I watched History Channel on tv. Ex-Nazi soldier said,"at the Battle of Berlin, Hitler surrendered to the devil." He did not say surrender to God. That's what History Channel said that.
