Why do so many people seem to think that a "shemale" is an intersex individual ("hermaphrodite")?

Because most people don't know anything about human sexuality. So many of them still think being GAY is a choice, for cryn' out loud.

Yes, totally uneducated people!! It amazes me how confused people are, do they not teach biology in school anymore!!?? This ignorance is why the word "shemale" even originated! It is much more correct to say "dude with boobs"!! Has a penis = male Has a vagina = female Adding plastic surgery or makeup or clothes does not change that. I dont deny that people can feel they were born the wrong sex, or feel trapped in their bodies, and that there arent deep psychological issues. BUT facts are facts, males are males, females are females. Not many folks out there born with portions or all of both sex organs (hermaphrodites). And they certainly are NOT AT ALL related or similar to "dudes with boobs".

beacuse she is used single way, but i belive she can be used both ways and vice versa

Because most people are quite naive with regards to sexuality. In all fairness however, it is possible that a person could be born intersexed and have surgery to be assigned MALE when they are actually FEMALE inside and then they would probably end up becoming a "she-male" anyways.
