If one is involved in a motor vehicle accident that requires transportation by ambulance, is the car insurace company or the health insurance company responsible for the bill?

    First of all, it depends on who was at-fault in the accident. if you were not at-fault, the other drivers insurance company would eventually be liable. meaning, your auto insurance may pay the ambulance bill, but would expect reimbursement from the other drivers insurance company. your health insurance company would not be liable, since auto accident insurace is not health insurance. if the other driver did not have auto insurance, then your policy coverage, with uninsured motorist, should cover this expense.
