Question

Help answer this question below.

I had a good singing voice when I was younger but stopped singing between seventh and ninth grade. I started singing again but don't sound as good. Did I lose my voice or do I just need training?

You need some training, if only to give you back some confidence and control.

You didn't lose your voice... and training probably wouldn't hurt. All singers, both male and female go through several periods of voice changes in life. There's that obvious awkward one during puberty (most painfully apparent for boys.. sorry guys) but there are also several more which last - for some people - up to their mid- 30's sometimes.
I could just be that your voice is settling in to a new range, so maybe experiment with different songs and vocal ranges until you find one that feels good. I strongly recommend seeking proper vocal instruction so that you learn to vocalize in a healthy way. Please, for the love of all that's holy, do not sing along with artists on the radio and rely upon that as your only means of practice/ instruction... those people may be popular, but many are damaging their voices with the way that they're singing.
Proper technique is essential, especially for young singers whose voices are still forming! Good luck and happy singing! :)

your voice is changing and developing, you just need to train your mind on how to use you new insrument (vocal cords) and you will with some simple exercises, become as good and probally better then you ever were in the past.

Between seventh and ninth grade? Well, there's your answer. Your voice changed. Since you weren't actively singing then, it might be a little while before you get adjusted to your new voice. But if you were a competent singer before, adequate training should get you back. This would be around the time to start with a voice teacher, if you want to go to that extent.

I think since you're coming back after a while of not singing, of course you're not going to sound the same way as you did b4.I strongly doubt you lost your voice.you might need just a little training.I would say practicing holding a few notes now and then to strengthen your vocal chords. sometimes, the problem is not your voice, it could be the way your mouth is because having an open throat and a dropped jaw can improve your tone and give you a better, fuller tone.
