  • I'm not sure of the legalities of it, but I have seen both private security companies and ex-cop ticket defenders with cars that look A LOT like cop cars. However, your reason for having the cop car look-alike may make a difference.
  • What you propose is so illegal. If you can state any reason whatsoever for doing so, such as using all of it as a costume in a Mardi Gras parade, you might not go to jail, but that would require that the local constabulary have a sense of humor and believe whatever nonsense you made up for an excuse. Save yourself a lot of hassle and just get your car a tune-up and a brake job, which would be spending the money in worthwhile fashion.
  • Its called Criminal Impersonation and will land you in jail in a heartbeat. We arrest people all the time for having blue lights on their private vehicle. this is a strict law violation in Tennessee.
  • I know that where I live the Fuzz would pull you over for sure... I also think that with all the people out there using cars and rented uniforms to catch unsuspecting victims, it should be illegal Gag or no gag...Our world isn't what it used to be...
  • yes it is illegal. see you in jail
