  • I bet any of the guys at Lowe's, Home Depot would be able to tell you exactly how many bags it would take prior to making the purchase.
  • I don't know but I am willing to bet that it will cost you twice as much as ordering concrete by the yard to be delivered.
  • Concrete is used and sold on a cubic volume basis (usually by cubic yards although some places will sell by cubic feet). When converting between cubic yards / cubic feet / cubic inches use the following conversion factors: * 1 cubic yard = 27 cubic feet * 1 cubic foot = 1,728 cubic inches To calculate how much concrete you would need to order to pour a slab use the following formula: Slab thickness (in ft.) X Slab width (in ft.) X Slab length (in ft.) = Total cubic ft. of concrete required.
  • After you figure out how many cubic feet you need plunk in your answer at the website below and it will tell you exactly how much Quickcrete you will need:-) http://www.quikrete.com/Calculator/Main.asp
  • you have apprx. 100 sq.ft. @ 4" thick, thats 33 cu. ft an 80 pound bag is 2/3 cu. ft. so 3 bags will do 2 cu.ft. so you will need 50 bags. a cu. yard is 27 cu.ft. so it might be easier to get a ready-mix truck at your local concrete supply yard
  • 95 " X 150 " = 14,250 Square inches of surface area. Divide by 144 square inches to get 98.958 square feet. The QuikRete Calculator (http://www.quikrete.com/Calculator/Main.asp) says a four inch slab that is 100 square feet will require 55 bags (80 pounds), or 73 bags (60 pounds). Where I live, an 80 pound bag costs about $5.69 ($5.32 retail plus 7% sales tax). 55 Bags costs about $312.95, plus you have to mix it yourself. OR, 95" X 150" x 4" = 57000 cubic inches. There are 46,656 cubic inches in a cubic yard. (36 X 36 X 36 = 46,656). Your slab dimensions come to 33 cubic feet, which is 1.22 cubic yards. Where I live, you can get a yard and a half of ready mixed concrete delivered to your home for about $275. That is cheaper, easier, and you will have extra concrete to use for something else (we put a slab under our dog house and also made a concrete pad for the trash cans)
  • It is on the bag somewhere, they also usually have the chart at the home improvement store. Always get a few extra bags just to be safe.
