I suppose the root of the question could be whether excessive consumption of alcohol in beer is bad.

I don't care if it is...I'm drinking as much of it as I can:) But seriously, it's just like any other pop, so the question is whether pop in general is bad for you. Too much can be unhealthy. Some root beers are caffiene free, which makes it a little better.

Many sodas contain High Fructose Corn Syrup. There have been recent studies that show this actually causes diabetes. I would go for an all natural, caffeine free Root Beer that does not contain fake sweeteners.

Any food or drink really high in sugar and that has no nutritional value "empty calories" is not good for you. The "bad for you" part comes in the quantity of it. One root beer or any soda every once in awhile is not bad for you, on a regular basis, it is.

In non-diet form, ANY pop is bad for you because of the amount of sugar and caffeine involved. However, I've been drinking diet root beer for years with no ill-eff--fff--ffff--ffec--t-t-t-ts. ;-)

It's a fizzy drink. Generally considered bad. sugar, artificial sweeteners, colourings, you could write a doctoral these about why each of those should be handled carefulloy or best avoided

uhmm... no,,,I love root beer. but we know that too much of everything is not good... so keep moderation of everything you take(or drink...)
