  • First for all, why didnt you brsuh for 3 months? And your gums havent a clue whats going on, gettin a proper clean finally! Sorry but thats just wrong not brushing your teeth!
  • my gums bleed sometimes when i dont brush my teeth in a while. its because your gums gets soft and are not used to getting brushed much. and you could be brushing to hard. But you really need to brush your teeth more than that. i brush my teeth atleast 2 or 3 times a week. My gums still seem to bleed.
  • What would keep you from brushing for that long??? Sorry dude but that's gross! I hope you weren't talking to anyone during that time. I would say YES you need to see a dentist. You may have a whole lot more than gingivitis. You definitely need a deep cleaning. I hope you are ready for the bill because you will rack it up.
  • Um... ew. You should brush daily and at least twice a day. You may have gingivitis and need to see a gum specialist.
  • 3 months!!! You most probably have gingivitis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gingivitis Brush at least twice a day use a plaque remover, and yes man, see a dentist.
  • sounds like your gum is infected due to lack of cleansing. you don't have to see a dentist, but I would highly recommend starting to brush your teeth and rinse your mouth. ... why did you go on for 3 months without brushing? is there a point?
  • Unless you don't mind losing your teeth, you should definitely see a dentist asap.
  • Teeth need cleaning as a matter of oral Hygeine not just because they look yellow. The fact thet your teeth have not been cleaned for such a long time your gums are probably sensitive and this is what has made them bleed.. Clean them regularly and the gums should toughen up and the bleeding stop. If it does not you need to see a Dentist. In the meantime rinse your mouth with salt water when the gums bleed this will help stop infection and help them toughen up a little.
  • Do you mind me asking why? well, anyway, when you don't brush your teeth germs and bacteria build up on your teeth as well as your gums. Bacteria can cause inflammation of the gums. So, when you do brush, your gums bleed. Although bacteria are normally found in our bodies and provide protective effects most of the time, bacteria can be harmful. The mouth is a great place for bacteria to live. The warm, moist environment and constant food supply are everything bacteria need to thrive. If not for a healthy immune system, bacteria in the mouth would rapidly reproduce out of control, overwhelming the body's defense system. Good oral hygiene is the best prevention because it removes the plaque that causes disease. The teeth should be brushed at least twice daily and flossed gently at least once per day. Consult the dentist or dental hygienist for instructions on proper brushing and flossing techniques. Special appliances or tools may be recommended by the dentist for use by people who are particularly prone to plaque deposits. They use supplements, but this does not replace, thorough brushing and flossing. Appliances and tools may include special toothpicks, toothbrushes, water irrigation, or other devices. Electric toothbrushes were initially recommended for persons who have problems with strength or dexterity of their hands, but are now recommended to many patients to improve their oral hygiene. Antiplaque or antitartar toothpastes or mouth rinses may be recommended by the dentist or dental hygienist. Regular professional tooth cleaning is important to remove plaque that may develop even with careful brushing and flossing. Many dentists recommend having the teeth professionally cleaned at least every 6 months. As well have having bad breath, cavities, gingivitis and loosing your teeth, not brushing your teeth can cause much more serious health problems such as heart disease. I suggest you make it a habit to brush your teeth at least twice a day. The bleeding will stop as your teeth and gums become accustomed to brushing. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/48760/caring_for_your_pearly_whites.html http://72.14.209.104/search?q=cache%3AzeynUADNe4oJ%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.ada.org%2Fpublic%2Feducation%2Fteachers%2Fsmilesmarts%2Fwatch_module01_smart.pdf%20what%20happens%20if%20you%20dont%20brush%20your%20teeth http://www.kidshealth.org/teen/your_body/take_care/teeth.html Here is a good video on proper brushing techniques: http://www.expertvillage.com/videos/how-brush-teeth-techniques.htm
  • First of all.....Ewwwww! Gross! I don't even want to know what your breath smells like! Secondly....Yes, get a dental check up! Not only do your teeth need professional cleaning, it sounds like you could have gingivitis (infection of the gums).
  • Its probably gingivitis, or could be periodontal disease...yuck!
  • a dentist at least!!
  • This is a very foolish thing to do(not brushing), you will become a candidate for being toothless, having gum disease which will lead into other health issues namely heart disease, amongst other health risk that can be life threatening. It also puts a big damper on your social life.
  • reason why your gums was bleeding is because you haven't brushed in 3 months
