If you were given the money and the land to take a group of people out into a remote area to start your own society that you could make up the rules and religion of, would you do it? Why or why not? How would you set it up?

Kinda sounds like a cult! I would only do such a thing if there was a time limit on it and only if it were a social experiment.

Hmmm I guess I didn't explain what I was thinking well enough. What I meant was...if you were given money by your government to go into some remote area where your main government's rules and regulations had no effect on you, and they would give you the money and tools to set up your own government with your own rules and regulations about everything.

In my perfect little world, everyone would have common sense. =) Model after current US laws (with all the freedoms, justice system, etc.); would have a balance of people dedicated to learning and advancement (all in good health and with a variety of spiritual beliefs) and see how much further they progress than the rest of the world. Its hard to describe, maybe because its so not feasible =P
