I disbelieve in fate because I disbelieve in deities. Time, like any dimension, only appears to have a backwards or forewards when stuck on it but to an outside observer it is just an unaltering line. We exist in such a way that we only 'travel' along this line in one direction, which means that we remember what we call past but are still yet to experience what we call future. In reality there is no such thing as past/future, only the misunderstanding of time. For this reason I believe in destiny, the timeline of events unchangeable in the past/future. A good analogy for time would be Su-Doku: When given the puzzle one doesn't know what numbers will end up where, in any given square it seems there are multiple possibilities. When going through the motions of solving the puzzle we see that there is only ONE solution and there always was only one!
