  • No. As a matter of fact, one of the things that I liked to do as a missionary was to occasionally visit other churches. It was interesting to see what they taught and how it differed from what we believe. Obviously I didn't always agree with the doctrine in the sermons, but it is a good way to better understand the belief held by other faiths.
  • If we understood how the conversion process really worked, we would have no fear of who converts to what. I personally enjoy visiting and discussing the religious differences with friends of mine. They are vast and quite interesting. Conversion comes from the Holy Ghost, testifying that the gospel of Jesus Christ is real and very much alive today. I would not be too worried that some- one, knowing that and feeling the strength from that knowledge, would want to go somewhere else.
  • We are encouraged to learn about other faiths. We beleive that there is truth in all religions but that our religion is the only completely true religion. My husband and I like to check out documentaries from the library about other faiths. We watched one about Ghandi, and I really beleive that man was inspired by God. He didn't have the preisthood so he couldn't speak with authority like a prophet could. But I think he was certainly inspired. This is how we feel about many great people who are not of our faith.
